Well Yes I prefer visiting this forum, rather than reactivating my account on WoW. However if you visit the WoW forum's you'll notice that it isn't the most friendliest place...

I'm hoping that once the game gets released that this place that I've grown accustomed to will not turn out to be a slug fest, rage war, arrogance infested place. Well one thing I noticed what went wrong was the whole issue with the Warrior balance in WoW that went unfixed for quite a long time. Thus the Warrior forums grew very very angry and distraught. So most likely this place will continue being as friendly as possible with occasional arrogant people because I have barely saw any balance issues so far.

Thumbs up

You guys are kidding right, I have like a 10 min attention span with minesweeper. Playing c+c Red Alert for the umpteenth time is more exciting, or Starcraft as the Protoss, what was that map with the blimps filled with little rocketships....anywho way off base, minesweeper bleh, this forum has kept me entertained for days, glad i found it.

I just abandoned my WoW account. These forums aren't more fun, but they hit the same level for cheaper.

Warriors in WoW are overpowered. I think the main problem with that game was that every single class was "cheap." They all could completely annihilate other people in certain situations. It was rock, paper, scissors to the extreme.

Anyway, I can't wait for Guild Wars. I just hope I can get enough friends who will play enough to make a guild. Otherwise I'll have to find one!

I thought I heard something about Warriors in WoW being underpowered because they couldn't tank? It caused some naked, dancing, gnome protestors to crash a server or some such.

Default WoW? Piss on that!

Sadly I almost got WoW. When I went to GameStop I saw the advertisement for GuildWars and started looking into that. Glad I did! I'd much rather play a game that is worth my time and my money! WoW wouldn't have done either! They'll never get their act together and everyone, in turn, seems to be pissing on 'em anyways! Maybe thats why the servers are down... piss in the circuits!

Lol, the servers had their fair share of problem it's true. I really liked the game, but the new Honor system really was the last straw. I would sit around at level 60 with literally nothing better to do than gank. Way more endgame content than anything else, but nothing you could do remotely alone.

EDIT: Warriors were devastating in PvP with the DPS of a rogue and the armor and HP of a... tank. PvP was all that mattered to me and my rogue felt utterly useless. But, this is a Guild Wars forum! Bah humbug @ WoW.
I only hope GW can fufill my wildest dreams.

Hah, Warriors are only good against rogues, besides rogues are getting a huge buff this next patch.

but...

This is GW forum and I find it amusing that I have a powerful, max level character in a top guild in World of Warcraft... yet I am here browsing the forums for a game I can't even play yet. I guess that says something about World of Warcraft. If you have any questions about World of Warcraft though I would be more than happy to honestly answer them. As I am interested in both games I think I can give a less biased view of either.

P.S. The WoW forums are certainly a lot meaner in general. Here is hoping for a good, mature, positive community *crossing fingers*

WoW forums are full of so much hostility and just down right retardness. I have never read any worse forums than WoW's.

See? Naked dancing frenzy is not just a symptom of GW.

i think the main reason that Guild Wars seems to have a more mature community atm is because it hasnt been strongly advertised or marketed - probably partly due to the fact that this is ArenaNets first game and that it aint out yet! WoW has been pretty strongy marketed near where i live (Midlands, Britain) and so anyone with a computer (i.e. kiddies) gets it and then promptly moans about everything in general, whereas with the GW community it is only people with a genuine love for the game who turn up to forums *sniffles* i luv u guys
